Until recently, genetic testing was performed exclusively on up to a few dozen mutation regions in a small number of our DNA genes. The Polygenic Risk Index simultaneously scans hundreds of thousands to millions of mutation regions in many hundreds of genes of our DNA. The result is a highly accurate personal risk score that introduces prevention into the era of Precision Health.

Simply put, Polymorphism Panels typically control a few dozen polymorphisms that literature says are disease-related, while PRS typically monitors thousands to millions of polymorphisms that result in disease-related global studies of the human genome. This leads to an end result of high accuracy in risk forecasting.
